Richard Stuart and Bryan Slade co-founded PyrOptic Pty Ltd. Based in NSW, Australia, our patent pending technology has been developed over several years to provide the most practical solution for catching thermal failures in electrical equipment at the lowest cost.
Richard Stuart holds an honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, NSW and started his career in coal fired generation over 15 years ago as an apprentice electrician. He has worked in maintenance, I&C, compliance and professional engineering roles at Australia's largest thermal and hydro electric power stations.
Coming from an industrious family background, experiencing significant plant failures first hand, and the difficulties of putting in place effective mitigation strategies were all key motivators to develop the solution offered by our company today.
Bryan Slade holds an honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, NSW and has over a decade of experience in power system design, automation, project management, construction and commissioning. He has delivered these services across a broad range of business from multinational mining companies to public utilities.
At PyrOptic we understand the O&M challenges that electrical infrastructure presents, from managing the safety of people around them through to maximising reliability and production.
