Online Monitoring (Relay Option)
Fibre optic loop continuity can be monitored using a fibre optic amplifier. These integrate a light source and a light detector. When the optical loop is broken the light source is no longer transmitted back to the detector. In this way an alarm is automatically raised. 
  • One relay is required per PyrOptic loop. 
  • Relays typically require a 24Vdc power supply
  • Equipped with both NPN and PNP digital outputs
  • Communication interfaces such as Devicenet, Ethernet, and RS485 are also available
Routine Monitoring (Inspection Plate Option)
Loop continuity can be checked using a light source, such as a torch, during a routine inspection
  • Test performed with equipment door closed
  • Check hundreds of connections in seconds
  • Over temperature conditions are latched between inspection intervals
  • Inspection can be scheduled irrespective of equipment loading 
  • Eliminates exposure to live parts and arc flash hazards
